This Salmon roe from pristine Canadian waters, is perfect as an appetizer with French blinis and crème fraiche, or as a part of delicate Hors d'oeuvres. The large orange berries are firm, and juicy; alive with sharp and piquant taste and a fresh flavor. Harvested and then lightly salted using the time-honored methods, the roe has lower salt content than common alternatives. Shelf life is about 2 weeks refrigerated (ideally at 28 to 32 degrees), and this roe may be stored in the freezer up to 6 months, ...if you can resist finishing it immediately after you taste it.
